Samsung had released the Galaxy J5 and J7 as new J series smartphones in the year 2015. These smartphones were online-exclusive till recently when the company decided to sell these phones in the offline market as well.
The Galaxy J5 comes with a 5-inch 720p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and there is a camera combination of 13-megapixel rear, 5-megapixel front facing camera. This is a Dual SIM phone with one SIM supporting 4G LTE connectivity, and there is a 2600 mAh battery packed into the phone.
The Galaxy J7 comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display, Exynos 7580 Octa-Core processor and 1.5GB RAM, while the camera combination is of 13-megapixel rear, 5-megapixel front facing camera. This is a Dual SIM phone with one SIM supporting 4G LTE and second GSM, and the phone has a 3000 mAh battery.
Both the phones run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, and they have the Samsung special TouchWiz UI running in them. Now, since these both phones are coming with the latest OS version before Marshmallow, there might be many asking whether there will be an official update available for both these devices.
Samsung has confirmed the marshmallow update to S5, S6 Edge, S6 and Note 5 smartphones, but has not given an answer for any of the other devices. We are just hopeful that Samsung works to give an update since the phone is already on Lollipop OS.
