As we know that this Android Marshmallow is a version of android and it comes up with really very less bugs. Like all other previous versions, this one also comes up with a material UI. To make the OS secure, Google has added the feature of Permissions. This is a new thing which every user of this Android Marshmallow wants to know about.
Before the arrival of this version of android, whenever a person needed to install an app, he was simply displayed with the list of few permissions of the app and the person who was installing that app could choose between either accept all the permissions or simply continue to install the app or a person could decide not to install the app. This could be treated as the nothing or all approach.
But in this latest version of android, Google has now started the concept of these runtime permissions for all the apps. According to this, any app by default would start with these zero permissions. This means that if you are installing the apps then this Android Marshmallow would not ask you for any permission and hence at the time of installation you can make a simple one click installation. And when that app that you have installed would require any such permission, it would then obtain the right permission from the user. By this way, Google has given the control in the hands of the users completely.
How to enable these permissions on any of these Marshmallow Devices
Step 1: Go to the Setting Menu and select the option of apps
First a person needs to visit the setting menu in this smart phone and after going there you have to locate the option of apps. In this section you would be able to find all the apps that you have installed on your android device.
Step 2: Choose the app on which you want a permission to be granted
It would take a few time to load all the apps. Let it take time. After a few seconds it would show you all the apps that you have installed and then you have to search for the app you want to grant app permissions for and that too manually. You can choose any of the app for this purpose.
Step 3: Click on Permissions
Once you have clicked on the app you want to grant permissions for, then you would be able to see a few options and those options you could see the option of permissions written there. You then simply need to click on that option of permissions.
Step 4: Finally Enable the Permissions Required
Once you have clicked on these permissions you would be then able to see all the permissions that are at present either running or not running by the app. And from there you can simply click on the required permission to enable that permission and this is all you needed to do. Same is the process to revoke the permissions of any of the apps.
